About Jim Masterton

Jim Masterton moved to Forster from Canberra in 1986 where Jim established a local business known as Great Lakes Appliance Service , Jim came from the appliance service industry working as a service manager for Hoover Australia in the ACT for eight years.

Great lakes Appliance Service became very successful and moved location on two occasions for expansion purposes, Jim continued to operate this business for fourteen years then selling in the year 2000.

Over the years of running his business Jim had implemented some small databases to assist with the day to day running of the business. During this time Jim realized there was an opening in the appliance service industry for industry specific Software.

Once the business was sold Jim took 2 years out unpaid to dedicate his time to developing POS Service Pack, The first version was put into the field on trial in 2001 and after some fine tuning POS Service Pack was operating fully by December 2002.

September 2002 Jim had purchased a Souvenir & Gift store in Forster where he continued developing software but now for the retail Industry known as POS Pack Retail as he continued to develop software the word begun to get around about his software development skills and soon was being approached for other custom applications. This lead Jim into another POS Pack application known as POS Automotive Pack that caters for the automotive industry.

July 2008 Jim decided to devote his energy into POS Pack full time which has lead him to his new venture possible SOLUTIONS teaming up with Glenn Singleton long time veteran in Filemaker software development.
